QB and Co-League MVP – Josh
Kittell - #13
“In addition to having outstanding
stats, Josh provided our relatively inexperienced team with an amazing amount
of leadership, grit and determination.
Josh has been in our system for four years, and his knowledge of what we
do has made him a very good player and leader.”
WR – Zach Bolger - #8
“Zach had a breakout season for us, breaking school records for
receptions in a season and touchdown receptions in a season, as well. He proved to be a big-play threat every time
he touched the ball in addition to making tough catches when needed. He made several plays throughout the year
which changed the momentum of games, put us in position to win games.”
OL – Dale Ackland - #77
“Dale was our mainstay on the offensive line this year. Surrounded by freshmen and sophomores on the
offensive line, his leadership was critical in our maturation as an offense. Dale brought physical play and intensity to
the line on every snap, and he played physical and on edge game in and game
out.”
DL – Tim Moch - #94
“Tim brings an attitude and edge
to our team every practice and game. He
has a high motor and was very disruptive to opponent’s run schemes and pass
protections. Tim has emerged as a
leader on our team, and he brings great energy and enthusiasm to our team. A very good football player.”
LB – Cody Sailer - #36
“Even though linebacker is a
relatively new position for him, Cody led our defense in tackles for loss and
QB Sacks and was third in tackles. Cody
brought a physical presence and the intensity needed to be a good
linebacker. His work ethic and added
knowledge of our scheme and comfort level in our system has helped him become a
team leader.”
DB – Gary Thomas - #18
“Gary emerged as one of the best
players in the DAC this year. He played
his best in big games, which is the sign of great players. Gary played fast and physical on every snap,
and he brought intensity and a winning attitude to our huddle game-in and game
out. He led our team in tackles, and he
always seemed to come up with a big play when the team needed one.”
LB – Nick Scheutz - #56
“Nick has been a big-play guy in
our defense for three years, and that became magnified this year. He ended up second on our team in sacks and
tackles for loss, and he had a knack for being around the ball on a consistent
basis. His knowledge of our defense and
maturity as a player made him one of our team leaders.”
Punt Returner (1st Team) & DB (2nd Team) – Jake Stoltz -
#28
“For the second straight year,
Jake was one of the National NAIA leaders in punt returns. In addition, he made many big plays for us
as a defensive back and this year, as a wide receiver as well. Jake seemed to make game-changing plays for
us every week the past two seasons.”
K – Bryan Loweree - #4
“For the second straight year,
Bryan led the DAC in kick-scoring. He
currently holds school records for longest Field Goal (51 yards), most Field
Goals in a season (11), and career (27), and consecutive extra points
(43). In addition, he has done a good
job on kickoff placement and distance.”
WR – Marcus McCrary
- #81
“Marcus spent only his senior year with Jimmie Football, but he certainly made his mark, finishing second in the DAC in receptions. His 41 receptions this year were one of the top 5 years in school history, and Marcus showed the ability to make big plays when needed.”
OL – Clint McGovern - #64
“Clint had a good year playing offensive tackle for us, his first as a starter. He steadily improved throughout the year, and showed the ability to play physical in addition to being athletic and solid in pass protection.”
LB – Jon Rethemeier - #6
“Jon finished second on our team in tackles and led us with 4 interceptions. In addition, he showed great leadership on our defense, serving as the quarterback of our defensive front seven.”
LB – Nate Pederson -

DB – Bryce Petersen - #39
“Bryce showed the ability to make big plays for us, as he returned 3 interceptions for touchdowns this year, which was tops in the DAC. He really came into his own as a cover corner and run-stopper, and he played a valuable role in special teams, as well.”
DL – Jesse Vote #50
“Jesse had a good senior year, his first year as a starter. His athleticism and knowledge of our defense made him very valuable in our defense. He always seemed to be around the ball, and his enthusiasm and energy made him a leader on our defense.”
