2009 Jamestown College Recruits

 

Jamestown, NDJamestown College’s head coach, Bud Etzold is proud to announce their 2009 first round of signees that will wear the Orange and Black for the Jimmies.

 

Today, the Jimmies added a heavy dose of offense to their roster does not look to rebuild but reload after taking a hit by graduation to their skill positions. It will include quarterbacks Michael Beehler, a two-time All-American junior college transfer from Central Lakes CC and Brady Yrjo, an All-State selection from Menahga High School (MN). Offensively, the Jimmies also added three runningbacks , three wide receivers,  two tight ends, and a pair of offensive lineman.

 

On the defensive side of the ball the Jimmies added a pair of linebackers in Nick Klawon,(Larimore, ND) and Reggie Boykin, a 1st team All-District from Beaumont, TX.  They also added, an All-Conference selection in Michael Fischer,(Renville, MN). The Jimmies also bolstered their kicking game with the addition of punter, Thomas Craig Anderson (Hartsville, SC), a 2008 Special Teams Player of the Year.

Jamestown College finished 2008 with an overall record of 7-3 and a final ranking of #25 in the NAIA Coaches’ Post-Season Poll.

 

Jamestown College is an NAIA II affiliated school of approximately 1100 students located in Jamestown, North Dakota. The Jimmies are members of the Dakota Athletic Conference, which was formed in the fall of 2000. Jamestown proudly offers 8 men's and 8 women's sports in: basketball, cross country, golf, track & field, soccer, football, volleyball, wrestling, softball, and baseball. Jamestown College has been recognized in the US News and World Report edition of "Best Colleges 2009". JC is the only North Dakota college or university to achieve top-tier status in their rankings. This is the second straight year that JC has received this recognition.
