Re: Tailgate plans for the 2010 Jimmie Football Season!

We are looking forward to continuing the great tradition of providing food and fellowship for our Jimmie football players, coaches and families after every away game this fall! We are continuing our format for our away game tailgating. With so many families coming from a variety of distances and some not able to come at all, we recognize that not everyone has an equal opportunity to be a part of the tailgating. To balance this, we are asking that every family make a suggested contribution of $ 45.00 to help cover the cost of the hot menu item, condiments and paper products for the season. Larry and I will plan, prepare and bring the hot menu item and paper products to each game. You will NOT be asked to travel with a hot crock pot!!

This year the football schedule consists of the Spring Scrimmage potluck, 5 “away” games including the DAC Jamboree at the FargoDome, and the last home game for the seniors potluck. In addition to the cash contribution, families able to attend the away games are also asked to bring bars or cookies, beverages, or chips. We ask that you sign up in advance for these items-see sign up sheet at www.gojimmies.com. Below is a description and quantity of the additional items that will be needed at every away game:

Bars (already cut)/Cookies, please note the quantity needed is 4 dozen. Please bring them in disposable containers or baggies. We are hoping for homemade and good variety!

Beverages, please note the quantity needed is two cases (48)– 16-20oz bottles of water, lemonade or Gatorade – on ice in a cooler.

Chips, please bring 48-bags snack size chips.

When you bring any of the above items, we would like your help with serving and cleanup after the meal is finished.

The potluck meals will be set up near the player bus immediately after the game. Your prompt arrival and set-up help will be appreciated. Also, please remember to check the parent/fan website regularly at www.gojimmies.com for pertinent information as the season goes along.
